We’ve been hard at work preparing for the launch of the Jury Team. Now they’re on the public stage, we can tell you all about it !
The Jury Team is a new movement dedicated to freeing British politics from the dead hand of the existing parties by encouraging the well-qualified and the independently-minded to enter Parliament.
From Monday 16th March, individuals have been able to register their interest in becoming an independent MEP or MP at www.juryteam.org. This then generates a profile page and gives them the opportunity to leverage a range of social networking utilities.
The general public is then able to vote via mobile for the candidate they think best equipped for office, in the equivalent of an open primary election.
Sponge developed and is powering the mobile solution, and is in the process of building a range of tools to accelerate interest and participation in the Jury Team.
