Sponge gets skinned

With projections that the market for handset personalisation will exceed $5bn by the end of the decade, the latest project for Sponge co-founders Alex Meisl and Dan Parker is skins4things

Skins4things produces a high quality range of custom-made vinyl ‘skins’ which are designed to fit and stick to a wide range of electronic devices. They inject style and personality to iPods, mobile phones, games consoles and laptops.

Sponge has partnered with the company to offer a range of personalisation services to their agency and media clients. Douglas McDonald commented, “Skins enable our clients to have their branding in the hands of their clients day and night. Skins4things offers us a high quality and cost-effective method to bring personalisation from the inside of a device to the outside. Many of our clients are interested in using Skins as additional prizes on their sales promotions”.

Run by Sam Flint, skins4things is concluding deals with operators, device manufacturers and online partners. “Through the use of high quality 3M materials and fantastic designs, we are seeing very strong feedback to our commercial proposition, and as it says on our website - we’ve got it….covered”.
