Challenge:
To develop a better AutoTrader mobile site, drive more traffic, improve the user experience and make the site more attractive to advertisers.

Campaign:
Since being appointed in July 2008, Sponge has totally redeveloped AutoTrader’s mobile site, with version2 launching in July 2009.

We have successfully improved search functionality and upgraded the design – all of which have delivered a massively enhanced user experience. The site now offers users personalised search of both bikes and cars from their mobile.

Additional features include ‘Click to Call’, which allows users to go straight through to a dealership or private seller; and ‘Send Me Details’, which allows users to request vehicle details be sent via email.

The site is supported by sophisticated content management, delivery, and reporting & analysis systems

Results:
Monthly page impressions have increased 20 fold and the site is now one of the most popular mobile media sites in the UK.
